Nature house in Civitella Casanova

The country house is located in a valley with beautiful views, three kilometers from the village of Civitella Casanova, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. The nature house was restored in 2007 with care for authentic details, the original vaults are still present in the kitchen and the downstairs sitting room. An old staircase with original terracotta tiles leads to the upper floor with two spacious bedrooms, each with a bathroom with shower and WC. In the sitting room there is a fireplace, TV with DVD and CD player and a sofa bed with two extra beds. There are also two good quality folding beds in the house that can be added in one bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, good quality pans and dishes. On the covered portico, the outdoor room, there is a large dining table with eight chairs. Adjacent to the portico is a utility room with extra refrigerator, washing machine and WC. In the garden is a pool of 5 x 11 meters with a salt water system. There are plenty of deck chairs and there is a barbecue. On the property there is a second house in use as storage; it is not rented/used, so total privacy is guaranteed.

The nature house is located on a one-acre property containing several fruit trees (from which can be picked) and olive trees. The view all around is spectacular with views of mountains, hills, fields and forests. In clear weather the Majella massif is visible and at night you can see the lights of Chieti in the distance. The terrain ends at a little valley densely covered with forest, a true bird paradise. You can hear the oriole and the nightingale, swallows drink from the pool, the hoopoe flutters among the trees. There are beautiful flowers (like orchid) everywhere. From the house there are some walks through the valley or to the village. The Voltigno is a high plateau (three to four hours by car) where you can hike around beautifully or go to the top of Monte Meta or Monte Cappucinata. Abruzzo has many national parks. The house is located between the Majellen massif with the famous Blockhaus (for cycling enthusiasts) and the Gran Sasso with the Grande Impertore and beautiful towns, such as Castel del Monte, Rocca Calascio and Santo Stefano. Bears still live in Parco d'Abruzzo Nazionale. For lovers of the sea, there is the Trabocchi coast with fishermen's houses on stilts.
