Nature house in Wapserveen

On the edge of the Holtingerveld, next to a Natura 2000 site, you will find this nature house. It lies at the end of a cul-de-sac where there are no street lights, it is here - for the Netherlands - still really dark! The cottage is attached to the farm of the landlady, however, you have complete privacy. The cottage consists of a bright room with a kitchenette and two beds. There is central heating and free WiFi. It has a wide view over fields and meadows where you can often see deer. On the terrace you can enjoy the sunset, the starry sky or just the sun. You can also bring your horse. For horses, there is a meadow with walk-in stable that you can see from the cottage. From the site you can walk, bike or drive straight into the Holtingerveld, a beautiful and vast area with forest, heath and fens. You can walk and ride for hours without having to cross a paved road! Bicycles can be stored in the barn.

This nature house is located on the cycling and hiking route network. Besides wonderful hiking, biking or horseback riding, there is of course much more to do in the area: there are a lot of cozy villages, in Diever you will find the Shakespeare Theater, there is a Sea Museum and a Museum of False Art in Vledder, dolmens and a sheepfold in Havelte to name just a few of the nearest attractions. There is, of course, a lot more fun! Part of the Holtingerveld is still military training grounds and occasionally you can hear shooting in the distance (at the closed shooting range). Well, they have to practice, but that does not make the remaining area less attractive! The landlady teaches Centered Riding, Connected Riding and Tellington TTouch. So you can take lessons with your horse if you want, but you can also just take hours of outside rides without encountering a paved road, right from the yard!
