The nature house is located just outside the village of Dwingeloo; an oasis of peace with many, beautiful, old farms and of course the Oldengaerde manor house. It is within walking distance of the Dwingelderveld landscape park and the Drents-Friese Forest is also nearby. It is said that Dwingeloo has the most beautiful village green in Drenthe. On the village square you will find beautiful old trees, monumental farms, stores, terraces and restaurants. The apartment is also located on a cycling route. Dwingeloo offers something for everyone. Every Tuesday there is a modest market on the brink in Dwingeloo. There is also a heated outdoor swimming pool, the radio observatory and galleries. The larger towns in Drenthe have theaters, but many villages also have open-air theaters. Diever is known for its Shakespeare performances.
