This large two-story nature house is located near the Brattforsheden nature reserve and is close to Lake Lungen in Värmland, central Sweden. This former, traditional grain drying barn is 130 years old and has recently been completely renovated into a comfortable and tastefully decorated nature house. The beautiful, old details have been preserved and give the house a rustic feel. The 10-acre plot is surrounded by woods. The house is detached and is located next to the Swedish farm. No dogs allowed. Energy surcharge in May and September. There is no washing machine, microwave, dishwasher and Wifi available.
Nature and surroundings
Free view from the living room and kitchen over the meadow and the immediately adjacent forest edge. The Brattforsheden nature reserve offers all outdoor possibilities, such as canoeing, mountain biking and hiking. It is possible to start with the (rental) canoe directly from the location on the Lungen and canoe back through the Brattforsheden. Many well-marked hiking trails and mountain bike routes are in the immediate vicinity. From the cozy living room with French doors and large windows there is a chance to spot elk, deer and the terrain fox. The moose has its regular route around the house. Peace and quiet at the location, but also a short distance away the coziness of Filipstad, where all amenities such as four supermarkets, pharmacy and several restaurants are available. The vacation home is part of the former farm and is located in the yard. Visit Karlstad in just 35 minutes drive, the old town has many shopping centers and restaurants.
