Nature house in Norg

The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet spot and has a lot of potential.
We were disappointed that the cottage was crammed full of the owners’ personal belongings, which made it almost impossible for us to store our own things. It’s nice that there are games and books, but shoes, cluttered drawers, and a whole drawer full of DVDs are really a no-go for us.
The cleaning also left a looooot to be desired. Pasta sauce on the counter, dirty plates, a sticky dining table, and hair in the bathtub. Was it even cleaned?
The cottage also really needs maintenance. In some places, it currently looks like a makeshift solution (such as the interior doors).
It was nice that there was a screen on bedroom 1, so at least one window could be opened. I’d recommend installing more screens—it’s important to be able to air out the house without getting bitten by bugs.
It was really nice, though, that the kids could play outside in the garden!

Het huisje ligt op een mooie, rustige plek en heeft veel potentie.
We vonden het jammer dat het huisje propvol lag met persoonlijke bezittingen van de eigenaren, waardoor wij persoonlijke spullen amper kwijt konden. Leuk dat er spelletjes en boeken zijn, maar schoeisel, rommellades en een complete la vol dvd's is echt een nog go voor ons.
Ook de schoonmaak liet helaaa te wensen over. Pastasaus op het aanrecht, vieze borden, een plakkerige eettafel, haren in het bad. Was er wel schoongemaakt?
Ook heeft het huisje echt onderhoud nodig. Het ziet er nu op sommige plaatsen uit als noodoplossing (zoals de binnendeuren).
Het was fijn dat er op de slaapkamer 1 hor was, zodat er in ieder geval 1 raam open kon. Ik wil aanraden om voor meer horren te zorgen, luchten in huis is belangrijk, zonder dat je lekgestoken wordt.
Wel heel fijn dat er buiten gespeeld kon worden in de tuin!

The cottage is located in the middle of a forest. In the morning, we woke up to the sound of birds singing—it was wonderful! We hardly heard anything from the other guests at the park, so we were able to really unwind.

It’s good to know that the cottage doesn’t have Wi-Fi and that cell service was poor indoors in many places. No big deal—it was a digital detox. But it’s good to know beforehand.

Het huisje ligt midden in een bos. 's Morgens werden we wakker met het fluiten van de vogels, heerlijk! Van overige gasten op het park hoorde je vrij weinig waardoor we goed tot rust kwamen.

Goed om te weten is dat het huisje geen wifi heeft en dat het bereik van mobiele netwerken binnenshuis op veel plekken slecht was. Niet erg, online detox. Maar goed om te weten vooraf.

The location in the woods is fantastic. We really relaxed and enjoyed nature and the birds singing. The beautiful village, which is within walking distance, is surrounded by greenery, and there’s plenty to do in the area. The forest cottage has everything you need. The bedding does need replacing, though, and in our opinion, the cottage could use a little TLC. Unfortunately, the host had forgotten about our reservation, and we hadn’t received the necessary additional information by the day of our arrival. We weren’t able to get in touch with the landlord ourselves, but in the end, we managed to check into the nature house. Because of this, we unfortunately had to leave home later than planned, and the start of our vacation was very stressful. Despite that, we do recommend the forest cottage in Norg.

De locatie in het bos is fantastisch. We zijn echt tot rust gekomen en hebben genoten van de natuur en de fluitende vogels. Het mooie dorp, wat op loopafstand ligt, ligt in het groen en er is genoeg te doen in de omgeving. Het boshuis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Het beddengoed is wel aan vervanging toe en het huisje heeft naar onze mening wat liefde nodig. Helaas was de verhuurder onze boeking vergeten en hadden we de dag van aankomst de nodige extra informatie nog niet ontvangen. Wij kregen zelf geen contact met de verhuurder, maar uiteindelijk is het Natuurhuisje wel gelukt. Hierdoor konden we helaas later vertrekken van huis en was onze start van de vakantie erg stressvol. Ondanks dat raden we het boshuis in Norg wel aan.

Right in the middle of a peaceful oak forest. There are other cabins in the forest as well, but we hardly heard a thing from them. You can set out on a nature walk right from the forest cabin.

Midden in een eikenbos met veel rust. Er zijn ook andere huisjes in het bos, maar daar hoorden we vrijwel niks van. Je kan vanuit het boshuisje gelijk een wandeling door de natuur maken.
