It’s wonderful to unwind in this charming, completely detached wooden chalet (60 m²) with a large wooded garden (3500 m²) directly adjacent to a large forest on the Brabantse Wal near Hoogerheide. Once owned by Natuurmonumenten, this spot offers relaxation and beautiful views of the forest edge and farmland. From the large wooded garden, you can walk straight into the woods, which feature various mountain bike trails. The cottage has its own driveway, a cozy living room with a decorative fireplace, and an open kitchen. A large dining table and French doors leading to the patio—which features a large picnic table—provide even more beautiful views. The terrace wraps around the cottage, so you can always enjoy the sun. A lawn in the middle of the wooded garden offers plenty of space to play, including a hammock. The two bedrooms feature two single beds and a queen-size bed (140x200), respectively. The bathroom is simple but functional, featuring a shower stall, sink, and toilet. The exterior has been tastefully renovated with sustainable wood.

Located on the edge of the Brabant Abbey Forests, you’ll wake up here to nothing but birdsong and can walk directly into the forest for kilometers from this 100% detached nature house. Or cycle from the bike junction at the end of the dirt road into the rolling natural landscape of the Brabantse Wal and enjoy lovely restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The Kalmthoutse Heide is just under five kilometers away on foot. Take a day trip to Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, or the islands of Zeeland. The cottage is surprisingly centrally located for fun activities. A folder with tourist cycling and hiking routes is ready for you. The large wooded garden offers complete tranquility and is a wonderful play area for children. 4G reception is excellent, but the cottage is too remote for reliable Wi-Fi and television. Our advice is to come here to unwind with a good book, music (CDs, a sound system, and a DAB radio are provided), games (bring your own), and just relax.
