Be surprised by the long driveway with the old beech trees. With great pleasure and love for our cottage we rent it out. The large (smoke-free) salon wagon (13x3 m) with living room (large table, sofa), kitchen (fridge and gas stove), bathroom (shower/toilet) and bedroom. You have a nice piece of private land, (out of sight of the Hoeve) with ample parking and views over the countryside. I only come in the morning to feed the birds. My love for nature is great, on the farm no poison is used. You are at a point of three provinces (Overijssel, Drenthe, Friesland), each with their valuable treasures of nature and sights, hiking and biking. The nature house is wonderfully heated by a pellet stove or electric heater. Pets are allowed, there is an enclosed garden, outside this garden please leash. Upon arrival, your bed is already nicely made (kitchen linen and towels provided).
Nature and surroundings
The village of Basse (located between Steenwijk and Wolvega) is situated in a beautiful, rolling landscape (ice age) and offers many opportunities for relaxation. If you choose to go out, you can enjoy hiking in the area but also go to the National Park Weerribben Wieden, Estate De Eese, the Woldberg, Kalenberg, Havelte with its vast heathlands/hunebeds, National Park Drents-Friese Wold (Diever) or the Rottige Meente near Wolvega. Or go out by boat. Birdwatchers can indulge themselves here, thanks to the bird-watching huts in the immediate vicinity. Perhaps you can spot the VISOTTER at the Meenthebrug bird-watching hut in Kalenberg. A visit to Steenwijk, Giethoorn or Blokzijl can also be great fun. But staying at home is also not a punishment, experience the countryside, how quiet it can be.
