With great pleasure and love for our cottage we rent her for your vacations. The large (smoke-free) salon car (13x3 m.) has a living room, kitchenette (fridge and stove), bathroom (shower/toilet) and a bedroom. You are our only guest and you have a nice piece of private land, (out of sight of the Hoeve) with ample parking and a view over the countryside. I only come to feed the birds early in the morning. My love for nature is great, on the farm no poison is used. You are at a point of three provinces (Overijssel, Drenthe, Friesland), each with their valuable treasures of nature and sights, hiking and cycling. The nature house is wonderfully heated by a pellet stove. Pets are allowed, there is an enclosed garden, outside this garden please leash. Upon arrival your bed is already nicely made and kitchen linen and towels are provided.

The village of Basse (located between Steenwijk and Wolvega) is situated in a beautiful, rolling landscape and offers many opportunities for relaxation. If you choose to go out, you can enjoy hiking in the area but also go to the National Park Weerribben Wieden, De Eese Estate, the Woldberg, Kalenberg, Havelte with its vast heathlands/hunebeds, National Park Drents-Friese Wold (Diever) or the Rottige Meente near Wolvega. Birdwatchers can indulge themselves here, which is thanks to the bird-watching huts in the immediate vicinity. Perhaps you can spot the VISOTTER at the Meenthebrug bird hide in Kalenberg. But staying at home is also not a punishment, experience the countryside, how quiet it can be. Or just go to Giethoorn or Blokzijl.
