This ruralhut is located in the Prenestini mountains inbetween vast woodlands and green valleys. The surrounding areas are fantastic for hiking near Rome. From here you can visit La Mentorella Monastry or within a short drive you can reach Subiaco, where you can visit the world famous Monastry of San Benedetto or La Scolistica. Also within a short drive you can reach the Simbruini mountains,  where you can spot wolves, porcupines, dear, roes & wild boar. The woods offer uncontaminated nature where time stood still, encourages a rich biodiversity where animals and plants thrive.
