The sustainably built nature house has a regional Saxon facade. At the back is a covered terrace. The cottage is located in the attractive yard of a residential farm. The kitchen, walk-in shower and toilet are on the ground floor. The living room is sunken into the yard. This allows you to watch birds scurrying around at eye level. On the first floor you will find two bedrooms. One spacious bedroom with a double twin box spring. The second bedroom has two single beds. The nature house stands in a small orchard. In spring the fruit trees are in bloom and in autumn you can pick more apples and pears than you can eat. There are many cycling and walking routes. Nice places like Borculo, Diepenheim, Markelo and Lochem can be reached by bike. Outside you may smoke quietly, inside you may not. Unfortunately no pets can be brought, so no smoking pets either.
Nature and surroundings
Surrounding the yard are two wooded banks in which hawthorn hedges have been planted, among other things. The flowers in the yard attract many butterflies. In the yard you can often see birds such as pheasants, jays, wagtails, great tits, goldfinches, goldfinches, green and spotted woodpeckers, kestrels, buzzards, barn owls, long-eared owls and little owls. Every year barn swallows nest in the barn across from the nature house. Egrets, hares and deer sometimes walk just outside the yard. The woods of Westerflier Estate can be seen from the cottage. We ourselves like to cycle over the Twentekanaaldijk to Lochem. Over the whole length you cycle through woods (never wind against).
