In the middle of the meadows, suddenly there is this charming nature house. A small park-like campsite with beautiful sunsets. The grounds are decorated with many flowering shrubs and plants, delighting you and the birds and bees. Where it is still dark at night and you can count the stars from your porch at your chalet. The campsite is a perfect base for the many bike rides you can take in the area. Or you can stroll through one of the national parks in the area. But also for a day of rest at the campsite there are enough fasciliteiten available; jeu de boules, table tennis, living room full of books, large playground for children with cable car, trampoline, play fort and go-karts. There is a small store where you can get fresh rolls, delicious with homemade jam from the owner. Don't feel like cooking, order a delicious pizza from Bianca.
Nature and surroundings
Near the rural campsite are beautiful national parks in the vicinity, the Drents-Friese forest and the Dwingelderveld. Here you can wander for days over the heathland, through the woods and then again along beautiful fens. But also the Hijkerveld is nearby, with a large flock of sheep where you can stroll between. But also in the immediate vicinity you can make beautiful trips through the landscape that takes you sometimes over the heath and then again through scenic areas. Or you can visit the old villages of Drenthe as Diever and Dwingeloo, but also in Orvelte you can imagine yourself in ancient times. But also for children there is much to experience in the area; the prison museum, gnome village, wandering through a cornfield or in the forest walking on a barefoot path or following a gnome trail.
