This nature house is located in Brilon-Wald, which is surrounded by high mountains, situated between the Kneipkure town of Brilon and Willingen and 24 kilometers from Winterberg. Brilon is among the most forested communities in Germany; there are 1,000 kilometers of marked hiking trails, of which the Rothaarsteig is the most famous. This hike is more than 150 kilometers long and runs from Brilon through Brilon-Wald to Willingen and Winterberg to the Hessian town of Dillenburg. There are also many other opportunities for recreation, for example skiing in Willingen, mountain biking, cycling or cycling; there are numerous well-marked routes in various levels of difficulty here. You can also enjoy playing golf or swimming in the idyllically located natural outdoor pool here.
