This detached 1950s nature house stands just outside the village and features a large southwest facing terrace surrounded by a large lawn, the edge of the forest and an adjacent field, together approximately 5000 m². The nature house was recently renovated, double-glazed, has a fireplace, has WiFi and there is a bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet. There is also a separate second toilet. Two bedrooms with two single beds each. A large dining table, two sofas, modern TV, gas stove, microwave oven and the usual kitchen utensils. The terrace catches the rays of the sun from morning until it disappears behind the treetops in the evening. Due to the peace and quiet and the neighbors, this cottage is not suitable for youth groups and parties.
Nature and surroundings
There are many visiting and breeding birds on its own property. For several years a pair of tawny owls has been breeding there. Furthermore, these birds are also present: four species of tits, chaffinch, wren, tree creeper, goldcrest, great spotted woodpecker, blackbird, wood pigeon, pied flycatcher, song thrush and great thrush. More special birds are found in the immediate vicinity, such as the kestrel, buzzard, curlew, partridge, stonechat and bluethroat. Along the nature house runs an excellent bicycle and hiking trail that further fans out for various day trips. You can also drive around by car among forests and farmlands. In the immediate vicinity are hushed white and yellow sand drifts and also beautiful fens; the closest is the Black Fens. Nearby are prehistoric burial mounds all or in groups among forests and fields.
