Nature house in Papenvoort

In this Mongolian yurt you can enjoy peace and nature. The special window allows you to enjoy maximum light. The nature house stands in a spacious place at the edge of the forest on a 20-acre estate. The nature house consists of a cozy room with a double bed, a spacious dining table, a kitchen with gas stove, a warm wood stove and a cozy lounge/bed sofa. The wood stove keeps the nature house nice and warm. There is a bookcase full of books and you can enjoy making music with the instruments provided. Outside in the spacious clearing you can have a cozy campfire. The cooling barrel in the yurt keeps your food and drinks cool. You can use the composting toilet next to the yurt. Above two persons you pay €7,50 per person per night extra.

The area is an oasis for nature lovers and hikers. A few km away is an azure lake where you can swim and where you imagine yourself in Spain. The cottage stands on an old estate characterized by the many old deciduous trees. In autumn you can enjoy the autumn colors and scents and the many mushrooms. Furthermore, the estate is surrounded by a beautiful mix of heathland, forest and meadows and fields. The nature house is located in the middle of the Hondsrug and is ideally suited for nature lovers who love peace and quiet. There is an extensive network of cycling, equestrian and hiking trails. A varied nature and picturesque villages make it complete. Stores are a 10-minute drive away in Rolde, Borger and Grolloo. There is plenty to do around the private forest. In the vicinity are beautiful cycling and walking routes. In Assen starts one of the Happen & Trappen bicycle routes. Furthermore, the estate is located halfway along the walking route Rolde-Schoonoord of the Pieterpad. A few kilometers away you will find the Boomkroonpad.
