Nature house in Mechelen

A nice place to spend a week. The cottage is a comfortable place to stay; the beds are comfortable, and there’s a great kitchen where you can cook your own meals. There’s plenty of cookware available. A tip would be to check the kitchen utensils and such regularly to make sure everything is still there and working properly. (There wasn’t a handy spatula, the lighter didn’t work well—though there were matches—and the trash cans lacked proper trash bags, so we had to pick some up ourselves. (All the bags provided were sandwich-bag size.))
Also, some areas could have been a bit cleaner. When we pointed this out, it was addressed right away.
Communication with the owner went well.

Een fijne plek om een weekje door te brengen. Het is goed toeven in het huisje, de bedden liggen prima, een prima keuken waarin je zelf je maaltijden kunt koken. Kookgerei is voldoende aanwezig. Een tip zou zijn controleer regelmatig keuken gerei en dergelijke of alles nog aanwezig is en goed werkt. (er was geen handige spatel aanwezig, aansteker werkte niet goed er waren wel lucifers) er miste goede afvalzakken in de prullenbakjes, die hebben we zelf even gehaald. (er waren allen zakjes in boterhamzak formaat).
Ook had het op sommige plekken wat schoner kunnen zijn. Toen we dit aangaven werd dit wel gelijk meegenomen.
Contact met de eigenaar verliep goed.

A lovely spot in a peaceful setting; from the cottage, you can easily set out on foot or by bike, and if you love culture, you’ll find plenty to enjoy in the area.
Nearby is the Wingelbergerhoeve, where you can get delicious ice cream. A short 1.5-kilometer walk takes you there, and you can enjoy a delicious ice cream (with fruit and/or a waffle, if you like).
The cottage is well-furnished; the couch isn’t the most comfortable, but it’s okay. The beds, on the other hand, are very comfortable.
You can be in Valkenburg or Aachen in 20 minutes.

Fijne plek, rustige omgeving, vanuit het huisje kan je al heerlijk op pad te voet of met de fiets, maar ook als je van cultuur houdt kun je je hart ophalen in de omgeving.
Dichtbij is de wingelbergerhoeve waar je heerlijk ijs kan halen. Een korte wandeling van 1,5 kilometer en je kunt genieten van een heerlijk ijsje(evt. met fruit en/of een wafel)
Het huisje is prima ingericht, de bank zit niet het meest comfortabel maar is oké. De bedden slapen dan weer prima.
Je staat met 20 min in valkenburg of in aken.

Great! Tip: Provide better coffee and tea amenities in the cottage. It’s a small effort, but it makes a big difference!

A well-organized and spacious cottage for 2 people. Spacious bathroom and bedroom. Outside, there are plenty of options for sitting in the sun or shade. It’s also ideal for our dog, with the little stream behind the house where he can cool off.

Overzichtelijk en ruim huisje voor 2 personen. Ruime badkamer en slaapkamer. Buiten allerlei mogelijkheden om in de zon of schaduw te zitten. Ook ideaal voor onze hond met het beekje achter het huis om in af te koelen.

What a lovely, peaceful spot, right in the heart of the South Limburg countryside! A cottage equipped with all the amenities, featuring a large shared garden with plenty of space for all the guests! We loved the surroundings and the peace and quiet, and we’d love to come back again!

Wat een fijne, rustige plek, midden in het Zuid Limburgse landschap! Een huisje van alle gemakken voorzien, met grote gezamenlijk gedeelde tuin met ruimte voor alle gasten! We hebben genoten van de omgeving, de rust en komen graag nog eens terug!
