Lovely stay in a beautiful nature reserve! This cozy cottage is located on the edge of National Park Drents-Friese Wold and ten minutes from the Dwingelderveld and Holtingerveld. The house is hidden in the green, on a quiet country road between Wapse and Diever. A special place, private and fully equipped (including underfloor heating, fully equipped bathroom etc). With garden, terrace and lovely fireplace / wood stove. The kitchenette has everything you need for an evening of cooking. The quoted price is for 2 persons, but you can also stay comfortably with 3 or 4 persons (€15 p.p.p.n. extra). Children up to 2 years are free. The nature house has two bedrooms with double beds, resp 180 cm and 140 cm wide. There is also a "baby kit" for rent: high chair, made-up camping bed, changing mat, baby bath, 2 towels). NB. If you use the 2nd bedroom with 2 people then € 10, - surcharge per night. To be paid afterwards.
Nature and surroundings
Southwest Drenthe is a unique part of the Netherlands. It is still really quiet and dark here, no planes and highways disturbing the peace somewhere in the distance. Beautiful starry skies, wide vistas, a landscape of ash trees, brink villages, creek valleys and bog ontginningen. You will find heathlands, forests, moors, boulder clay ridges and small-scale coulisse landscapes. And there - just outside Diever - is the village of Wapse, on the edge of National Park Het Drents-Friese Wold. The cottage is situated on a quiet country road in the outskirts between Diever and Wapse. Directly from the nature house you can walk and cycle endlessly in this second largest contiguous forest of the Netherlands. The Holtingerveld and the Dwingeloose Heide are within cycling distance. Also National Park Weerribben-Wieden and Giethoorn are nearby, about 20 minutes by car.
