This beautifully newly built nature house, with courtyard, is located on a five-acre estate, with forest and heathland beyond. Two kilometers away is the village of Midoes, where you can get your daily groceries. The area offers plenty of opportunities for cycling, hiking and visiting natural parks, including the Serra da Estrela. The Mondego River is within walking distance. Here you can enjoy swimming or canoeing. Canoes can be arranged through the landlords for a fun day on the Mondego. There is also a possibility to rent bikes for a bike ride on the bike path from former railroad line to Viseu through a beautiful and quiet nature reserve, along the river Dao. From the apartment you can make day trips to other cities such as Viseu or Coimbra, one of the oldest university cities in Europe.
