Nature house in Azoia, Cabo Espichel

The nature house is a tastefully redecorated caravan located on a large plot of land right by the sea, and part of Arrabida Natural Park. The cottage is surrounded by Pinheiro Manso, characteristic Portuguese trees. The sea is only a 2-minute walk and in 20 minutes you can walk to the nearest beach. The land gives beautiful views of the sea, the lights of Lisbon, Cascais and the mountains of Sintra. The sunsets are unforgettable. In the background you can hear the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The kitchen is simple but has a small refrigerator and everything to prepare a good meal. The double bed has a good mattress. You have your own shower and compost toilet among the trees with sun-warmed water (just not cold in summer). Outside are a table and chairs, a hammock and a lounge bed. There is a lot of privacy.

The nature house, surrounded by 6 hectares of farmland, is located in rugged nature. We live on the land together with 4 dogs 5 cats, 10 chickens and 1 rooster. The coast consists of high rocks interspersed with sandy beaches. The beaches are very quiet for our standards. There are many hiking opportunities. The coast is known for surfing. The bird lover and windsurfer get their money's worth at Lago Albufeira. Cabo Espichel has a beautiful 17th century church with adjacent pilgrim's quarters. A short drive away is a wine region and Park Arrabida with its monastery and the port of Portenho da Arrabida, where you can enjoy delicious waterfront food. You can climb in this area (well-guarded routes). In the village there is a small supermarket, a bakery, 2 café/restaurants and a coffee shop. Sesimbra is the neighboring town with a castle, boulevard, eateries, small harbor and beach. The sea is calmer here, you can canoe and dive.
