Built in 2007, this detached ruralhut is set on a 4000 m² plot of land in the olive and vineyards on Lake Bolsena. The cottage is located at 400 meters altitude and has panoramic views over the hills, Lake Bolsena with the island of Bisentina and the towns of Bolsena, Montefascione, Marta and Capodimonte. For the evenings, this means a fairy-lit skyline. The quadruple cottage consists of two floors, each with a living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, boiler and terrace, so there is a lot of privacy on both floors, making it ideal for multiple couples or parents with older children. The cottage is very well insulated for both summer and winter. In addition, the lower floor offers a pleasant cooling in summer due to its built-in location.
Nature and surroundings
This ruralhut is located on a dead end road about one kilometer from an Italian village with a supermarket, bakery, butcher, restaurant, bar, ice-cream shop and so on. At about two kilometers you will find a beach. In the heart of Italy's cultural heart: a region full of history, art, culture and local traditions. Within a two-hour drive you will find a large part of the Italian heritage of ancient and medieval history as well as from the Renaissance and the Baroque. In the region, called Etruria, the ancient Etruscan country between southern Tuscany and Rome, where the borders of the regions of Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria meet. This undiscovered and unspoilt region has a lot to offer in the fields of culture and nature. A visit to Lago di Bolsena with an area of 114 km2 and a 43 kilometer perimeter is recommended as well. The Lago di Bolsena was recently declared the cleanest lake in Italy.

Wij vonden de indeling van het huis heel doordacht en het huis is ook zeer smaakvol ingericht. Ondanks dat het buiten behoorlijk warm was, was het in ieder geval beneden redelijk koel te houden. In de tuin zijn er meerdere plekken om van de natuur te genieten. De contacten met de Nederlandse eigenaren verliepen zeer prettig, en ook de inwoners van Gradoli zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Echt een plek om naar terug te keren!
De ligging van het huis is fantastisch, midden tussen de olijfbomen en met en prachtig uitzicht over het meer van Bolsena. We hebben op een middag zelfs bezoek gehad van een hert in de tuin. Het huis ligt verder heel rustig aan een (niet geasfalteerde) doodlopende weg.
Het meer van Bolsena is uitermate geschikt voor allerlei watersport activiteiten. Je kunt vast wel fietsen of mountainbiken in de omgeving maar dat hebben wij zelf niet gedaan. -

Comfortabel en fijn huisje, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Lekker veel ruimte binnen en buiten, genieten van de natuur en het uitzicht op de portico
Rustiger kun je bijna niet zitten; dit natuurhuisje ligt middenin de prachtige natuur om het meer van Bolsena en heeft een fenomenaal uitzicht op dat meer
