This nature house is a very spacious vacation home in Twente. Just imagine: from the spacious deck, you have a direct view of the oldest still-operating double watermill in the country! Thanks to the cottage’s elevated location (at forest level), you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the immediate surroundings. The nature house is spacious and practically furnished, featuring two spacious bedrooms with box-spring beds, a living room with an open kitchen, a bathroom with a shower stall, and a entryway with a separate toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped. This cottage has everything you need, including a flat-screen TV with a fiber-optic connection! Wi-Fi, Sonos, CD player, and more. In the living room, you’ll find a cabinet full of tips, hiking trails, and biking routes in the area. This nature house is situated in a unique spot in the woods where you’ll want for nothing. Bicycles can be stored in the shed, which is lockable and equipped with electrical outlets so you can charge your e-bike. Behind our house, there’s a bench and a fire pit.

The immediate surroundings of this cottage in Twente are perfect for a short walk around the watermill and along the stream. If you’d like to walk a bit further, you can also head from this cottage to the Lankheet, with its beautiful hiking trails and water park. The Haaksbergerveen is particularly special, but the Buurse Meertje and the Witte Veen are also walking or biking destinations you won’t regret visiting. The Schipbeek, where the watermill is located, used to be navigable between Westfalen and Deventer. Now, on certain days, the “Buurser Pot” operates, offering guided tours along the stream. The area surrounding this cottage is very inviting for bike rides through the beautiful Twente bocage landscape. Within cycling distance, there are two water mills with cozy terraces. One is the Mallumse Molen, located past the Lankheet. The second, the Haarmühle, is on German territory, past the Haaksbergerveen and bordering the Witte Veen.
