Nature house in Egmond aan den Hoef

This nature house, built under architecture, is located on a dead-end road, right through the bulb fields. The large garden offers both shady and sunny spots. The round roof (with solar collector) makes the house special and at the same time fits into its environment. In front of the house is a large terrace, partly under the roof. To the left of the entrance is the living room with open kitchen with various kitchen appliances. There is a sofa, some comfortable chairs, a large dining table and a piano. The paving stones on the floor are the same as those on the terrace. So the outside and inside flow into each other as it were. Thanks to the underfloor heating it is always comfortable inside in winter. The three bedrooms have double beds. There is a spacious bathroom with bathtub, shower, toilet and sink. The upstairs rooms, with a large balcony, have a panoramic view. On the terrace there is a wooden table with two wooden benches. In addition, there are comfortable garden chairs (with cushions) and a folding table.

Everything is nearby: biking, hiking, horseback riding, swimming and sunbathing. The sea and the quiet beach can be reached on foot or by bicycle, right through the dunes, with Scottish Highlanders and wild horses as permanent residents. Bergen aan Zee and Egmond aan Zee are the nearest seaside resorts. By bike you can go to the "old" Hondsbossche Zeewering' now shielded by new dunes. To the south, the dunes run almost to the North Sea Canal. An entrance ticket is required for the Waterleidingduinen. From Schoorl, a trip along the western part of the Westfriese Omringdijk is a nice way to cross the country. Nearby are riding stables where you can go horseback riding. Gasterij 't Woud, a café-restaurant at the entrance to the dune area, has a small playground. Within cycling and even walking distance is Egmond aan den Hoef with stores and an old village center flanking the castle ruins.
