You’ll find plenty of peace and space in this comfortable, detached, four-person nature house, located on a dirt road in the heart of beautiful natural surroundings, yet still close to the charming village squares of Roden and Norg. You’ll enjoy views of the garden, meadows, and forests. The French doors open onto a spacious patio with patio furniture. The detached nature house is modernly furnished and fully equipped with all amenities: dishwasher, oven, microwave, and washing machine. There is a spacious bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms and an additional toilet. The beds are made up and very comfortable. A children’s cot or baby crib can be added. There are beautiful hiking and biking trails through the forest and heathland. There is a large fenced-in yard, providing a safe environment for children with a large playground set. From the nature house, you can step right out into the great outdoors. From here, you can hike to the hunebed in Steenbergen, the Zuursche Duinen, and the Mensinghebos. The entrance to the beautiful Nieuw Holthuizen Estate is nearby. By bike, you can take the most beautiful routes to the Nienoord Estate in Leek or to the Leekstermeer, and also to the village green towns of Roden and Norg and the Prison Museum in Veenhuizen. There’s plenty for children to do in the area: Ronostrand Beach, Nienoord Family Park in Leek, Het Sprookjeshof in Zuidlaren, and the Kinderwereld Museum and Children’s Farm here in Roden. The city of Groningen is nearby and well worth a visit.
