This nature house is located in a beautiful cultural landscape in northeastern Brabant. You stay in the middle of nature on the property of the landlords and from here you can follow numerous hiking and cycling routes that lead through the old cultural landscape of the Maasheggen and the Oeffelter Meent. The Looidal was purchased several years ago by the Brabants Landschap and together with the Beugense and Oeffeltse Vilt wetlands it forms an ecological connecting zone to the Maasheggen landscape. Maasheggen, as the oldest landscape in the Netherlands, is fortunately receiving a lot of attention in recent years and is being restored to its former glory. There live badgers, deer, foxes and several species of protected birds, such as the barn owl, little owl, bank swallow and even the kingfisher. This makes the location of the nature house so special. In this environment you can enjoy hiking and cycling. Along the plot of the nature house is a bicycle and walking path, which among other things connects to the junction route 12-13, a boot path and NS-hiking routes.
