Nature house in Markelo

If you have the need for tranquillity and nature in order to get in touch with yourself, this ruralhut is the place to be. This sustainable built log cabin is located on a magnificent spot in a forest, part of a private property. It is situated in such a way, that you have optimal privacy and if weather permits it, you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings from your private terrace. On a regular basis roe deer will pass the ruralhut through the garden. The recently built log cabin is equipped with all conveniences. It has a completely furnished kitchen with a dishwasher, refrigerator and cooker. In the same space is the living room with a woodstove (main source of heating) and two French doors leading to the private terrace. The bedroom is equipped with a comfortable double bed. Adjacent to the bedroom is a bathroom with a shower, a bathroom sink and toilet. There is no Wi-Fi nor Internet nor TV.

You can make wonderful tours directly from this ruralhut, either by foot or bicycle, that lead you through the slightly rolling landscape and past several castles. The tiny ‘city’ of Diepenheim that is well known for it’s galleries, the “Kunstmoment” (art fair) in October and it’s beautiful surroundings, is close by. For all your daily needs you can go to either the town of Goor or Markelo. The city of Lochem and the bigger cities of Hengelo, Enschede and also Deventer and Zutphen can be reached in 30 to 40 minutes by car. And if you wish to use public transport, you can also reach these cities by bus. There is a bus stop on the major road, not too far from the ruralhut, or you can use the train leaving from the train station in Goor.
