Nature house in Casais da Azoia

This nature house consists of a small cozy, refurbished caravan, The house is right by the sea, on a large piece of land and is part of Arrabida Nature Park. It is surrounded by Pinheiro Manso, characteristic Portuguese trees. The sea is only 2 min walk and in 20 min you walk to the nearest beach. The land gives beautiful views of the sea, the lights of Lisbon, Cascais and the mountains of Sintra. The sunsets are unforgettable. The cottage was designed with Fernando Pessoa, the famous Portuguese poet, in mind. The kitchen is simple but has a small refrigerator and everything to prepare a simple meal. The double bed has a good mattress. You have your own shower & toilet among the trees with sun-warmed water (cold). Outside are a table and chairs, a hammock and a lounge bed. There is a lot of privacy.

The nature house, surrounded by 6 hectares of farmland, is located in rugged nature. We live on the land together with 4 dogs and 5 cats. The coast consists of high rocks interspersed with sandy beaches. Praia das Bicas is known for its beneficial mud. The beaches are quiet by our standards. There are many hiking opportunities. Meco is known for surfing. The bird lover and windsurfer get their money's worth at Lago Albufeira. Cabo Espichel has a beautiful 17th-century church with adjacent pilgrims' quarters. A short drive away is Park Arrabida with its monastery and the little port Portinho da Arrabida, where you can enjoy delicious waterfront dining. You can climb in this area (well-guarded routes). In the village there is a small supermarket, a bakery with delicious nut bread on Saturdays, 2 café/restaurants and a coffee shop. Sesimbra is the neighboring town with a castle, boulevard, eateries, small harbor and beach. The sea is calmer here, you can canoe and dive.
