Nature house in Rhenen

Nestled in the heart of beautiful nature, the nature house is quietly situated on a dead-end, semi-paved road. Horses graze peacefully in front of the house. Next to and behind the house is a meadow with a few amenities, such as a pull-up bar, a fire pit, and a cozy loggia. The nature house is simple but fully furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped. The living room features one two-seater and one three-seater sofa, a wood stove, a small TV, and a DVD player. There are 2 city bikes, one mountain bike, and 3 children’s bikes available. For the children, a small pedal go-kart, a shuffleboard game, and a pull-up bar are available free of charge. The storage shed has a charging station for electric bikes. A vignette is required to ride on the mountain bike trails through the forest. The cottage has Wi-Fi. The cottage is intended for nature lovers. Reservations from groups of young people under 25 are not permitted. On Sundays, you may use the cottage until 8:00 p.m.

The nature house is located west of the town of Rhenen, known for, among other things, Ouwehands Zoo, the military cemetery on the Grebbenberg, and the De Blauwe Kamer nature reserve. It’s situated on a spur of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and borders wooded estates (including De Tang), where you can enjoy peaceful walks. This nature house is also ideal for horse lovers. Cyclists will be in their element, as a cycle route runs right past the property. It’s lovely to sit outside, and when the sun gets too strong, the walnut trees provide wonderful shade. The cottage and the surrounding garden exude a relaxed (French) atmosphere. It’s now also possible to prepare a meal outdoors over a wood fire in a pan placed on the grate above the fire pit. The view of the surrounding nature is truly beautiful. The cottage is regularly visited by all kinds of animals, including the spotted woodpecker and, occasionally, a roe deer.
