This nature house is a small-scale accommodation in the beautiful green hinterland of the Silver Coast. On the quinta, quinta is Portuguese for farm, the landlords rent out three nature houses. Each cottage has a large private terrace and is beautifully decorated with a mix of Portuguese vintage and modern comforts. The accommodations are located on a large fenced plot with a swimming pool and playground. The cottages are surrounded by nature among century-old trees, dozens of bird and animal species and a super nice view over the valley of the village of Vimeiro. Children can enjoy swimming, playing in the playground or wandering around the fenced property. This nature house is the cottage in the former sheep barn. The house was recently renovated with reuse of the old materials such as natural stone, eucalyptus beams, and a beautiful old marble sink. The large window at the front gives the house a beautiful light and a nice view over the forest and the valley.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located on a protected nature reserve, bordering a forest with ancient trees, including protected cork oaks, olive trees and citrus trees. You overlook the valley of Vimeiro, a region known for its fruit cultivation. A short distance away you are in the cozy village where there are stores a patisserie and a restaurant. From the house you can make beautiful walks. Also on the coast are some beautiful walks. The beaches are very varied, from quiet beaches to seaside resorts, traditional fishing villages, and two unique beaches on an inland lake and a lagoon. During the summer months you can swim here, very suitable for families with smaller children. At the lagoon several water sports can be practiced, such as: canoeing, windsurfing, surfing, supping and sailing. Further inland, there are fantastic castles and monasteries to visit and walled towns that appeal to the imagination.
