Nature house in Tondela

Located in the middle of the wine region of the Dão, the nature house is a completely detached, rebuilt, old Quinta of partly more than 100 years old, on one hectare of land, overlooking mountains and forests. At 20 kilometers from Viseu, 60 from Coimbra, one hour drive from the beach and right next to the ecopista, the accommodation offers all possibilities to be active, but also to unwind. Private swimming pool for guests (salt water, 12 x 4 meters) with sun terrace. Stores and restaurants are within five kilometers away. The renovated tower room from 1880 on the first floor and the two apartments on the ground floor each have their own bathroom. There is a large very well-equipped kitchen/dining room. The nature house is very spacious, has air conditioning and mosquito nets and outside a large terrace where you can enjoy the shade and the evenings. Because there is no fence and there are differences in height, this nature house may be less suitable for children. There is an additional part of the main house on the same property for rent for more than seven people. This nature house can be found under house code 30135. Nearly 49 kilometers of undisturbed cycling/walking or running trail along a paved former railroad line. Largely along the Dão River, giving not only beautiful views but also plenty of opportunity for swimming along the way. Prohibited to motorized traffic is the former railroad line between the towns of Santa Comba Dão and Viseu, the ´Linha do Dão´ which served for almost one hundred years (November 25, 1890 - September 25, 1988), now one of the longest ecopistas. Along the way, it is also good to stop at several old railway stations that, after renovation, serve as restaurants and cafes. The ecopista makes a perfect place to train for biking, running, rollerblading or just to walk or bike and swim at a river beach. The nature house is ideally located for these activities. Within 30 car minutes further is the Caramulo Mountains, where there is beautiful hiking. An hour's drive away is the core of the Serra da Estrela and also an hour's drive away is the sea. The beautiful city of Viseu and the attractive town of Caramulo are within 30 minutes by car or within two hours by bike. The village of Tondela itself is five minutes away by car.
