The nature house is located in the middle of nature reserve 'De Maurik' which brings with it a lot of beauty. Such as silence, beautiful views, dark nights and a varied flora and fauna. Architect Jeroen Semeijn of De Twee Snoeken in 's-Hertogenbosch has given the nature house an open and unique character. The timber frame construction with its soft green look and the glass wall at the back provide a connection to nature and the view across the meadows create a sense of space and tranquility. The nature house has a natural green wood exterior finish. With a very high insulation value, the house feels very comfortable. It is heated by an economical air conditioning heating system that provides pleasant warmth in winter and keeps the house cool in summer. Monique August 8, 2025 General rating:When cycling, the junctions and Google maps sometimes send you on unpaved paths, such as the Champagnelaan, which are not fine for a normal bike and it is dry now. So pay close attention in advance.
Als je gaat fietsen sturen de knooppunten en Google maps je soms over onverharde paden, zoals de Champagnelaan, die niet fijn zijn voor een normale fiets en dan is het nu nog droog. Van te voren goed opletten dus.
Nature, peace & environment:Super nice house, with beautiful view and garden. Everything is there. Hiked in the woods, cycled to nice thrift stores, swam in natural lake the Pits with super clear water, while the Scottish Highlanders were lying on the path and watching, relaxing in the garden, birds and deer spotted, delicious vegan lunch at the Plak in Nijmegen (recommended!), slept on the best beds ever, (just too bad about the down comforters, that's not really animal friendly), petted cows and told them we don't eat them and don't need their milk either, drank oat milk and coffee with oat milk and read the book "What do you want then?" that was in the bookcase. Beautiful! Enjoyed the beautiful weather and the air conditioning. We did not miss the dishwasher and TV. In short, an excellent vacation with our dog.
Super fijn huis, met mooi uitzicht en tuin. Alles is aanwezig. Ook een fijne hor in de schuifpui.
Gewandeld in de bossen, gefietst naar leuke kringloopwinkels, gezwommen in natuurplas de Kuilen met super helder water, terwijl de Schotse Hooglanders op het pad lagen en toekeken, relaxen in de tuin, vogels en reeën gespot, heerlijk vegan geluncht bij de Plak in Nijmegen (aanrader!), geslapen op de beste bedden ever, (alleen jammer van de donzen dekbedden, dat is niet echt diervriendelijk), koeien geaaid en ze verteld dat wij ze niet eten en ook hun melk niet hoeven, havermelk gedronken en koffie met havermelk en het boek “Wat wil je dan?” dat in de boekenkast stond gelezen. Mooi! Genoten van het mooie weer en de airconditioning. Wij hebben de vaatwasser en tv niet gemist.
