Get away from the hustle and bustle to connect with nature in peace and quiet. The cottage is equipped with everything, but deliberately basic. There is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a spacious outdoor kitchen. You can cook on gas, electricity or wood. The cottage has a bed/bench compost toilet, dining/writing/work table and kitchenette. The cottage is well insulated, but in cold weather there is an electric stove that heats the cottage (note: there is no running water in frosty weather). Linen and biodegradable soaps are provided and included in the price. In addition to your private terrace, you can retire to the meadow. You can stretch your legs at 100 meters from a beautiful lake where you can swim. In short: a very cozy nature house for those who want to enjoy the simplicity of nature.

The beautiful lake near the nature house is full of water birds and is located in the middle of a varied forest of 70 hectares. If you have a fishing license, you can fish here summer and winter. Here you can still walk without meeting anyone. Be surprised and amazed by the numerous water birds, deer, squirrels and foxes and who knows, you might see a kingfisher. The forest consists of both deciduous and coniferous trees and has a sand drift in addition to the frog pond. Ideal for a walk or to dream away in peace and quiet. Northeast of the cottage you have the province of Groningen eight kilometers away and south five kilometers away the sandy village of Exloo. In Boswachterij Exloo, closed coniferous and deciduous forest, open heathland and drifting sands alternate. The rolling landscape makes it a wonderful area for walking, cycling or horseback riding. In the middle of Exloo is a sheepfold. In the morning the shepherd takes the flock of Drenthe Heath Sheep from the center to the Molenveld. In this area are some beautiful, large moors with juniper bushes. Definitely a particularly beautiful and varied area to explore.
