Nature house in Roden

In the triangle Groningen-Assen-Drachten you will find a varied landscape of meadows, arable land, forests, heathland, ponds and lakes. Here you will find this beautiful nature house on a small campsite opposite the Mensinghebos with its manor house and special flora and fauna. The owners of the campsite have been inspired by the beauty of Scandinavian camping sites. They manage and build their site as sustainably as possible. For example, solar panels, wood-fired central heating and a water recycling system have been installed. As a result, the campground carries the Gold GreenKey seal of approval.

The nature house is about 1.5 kilometers from the brink and ash village of Roden. Here you can do your shopping or get something to eat. The cities of Groningen and Assen are easily accessible. Walking and cycling can be done directly from the property on beautiful cycling and hiking trails through the Mensinghebos, the Onlanden, the Fochteloërveen or along the dolmens in Steenbergen. The Mensinge estate is surprisingly authentic and can be visited as a museum. In Veenhuizen is a Prison Museum and there are several old churches to visit in the area.
