Nature house in Riba de Ancora

A tastefully decorated nature house with impressively high wooden ceilings. Art by the owner hangs on the walls everywhere. There is a smart TV, a large collection of movies and enough music (an old-fashioned pickup with records) for long karaoke nights. There is a wood stove. There are two bedrooms: one with a king-size plus bed and one with a double bed. Across the back of the house runs a balcony accessible from the master bedroom and living room. This balcony has a coffee and tea corner, a large table and seating area. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. There is a sink, toilet and bidet. The dining kitchen has a five-burner stove with oven. There is an outdoor kitchen, barbecue and vegetable garden. Bicycles are available for rent. Garden chairs, umbrellas and sunshades are available. Around the house is a beautiful garden with trees, flowers, hedges of honor and a vegetable garden Parking in front of the house. The beach is a five-minute drive from the house.

From the nature house numerous small and long walks are possible.A 10-minute walk from the house you are in the foothills of the plateau, bordering the valley of the river Âncora. You walk on small paths where you can encounter wild horses, a herd of sheep or nothing and no one at all. Water flows everywhere from various springs and small streams. The Atlantic coast with its white sandy beaches is two kilometers away from the house. There are restaurants and bars on the beach, where you can eat good food for little money. Along the beaches are hiking and biking trails. There is also a bicycle path along the Atlantic coast that starts at the border between Spain and Portugal and runs to the southernmost tip. The Serra de Arga, a beautiful wild plateau, is about a 20-minute drive away. The Minho is the land of gorse and trees, waterfalls, small river streams with boulders and rocks over which water runs.
