In this cozy well-heated nature house you will experience all seasons! You stay on an island, next to woods and meadows and have a unique view of the pond Klein Elfhoeven. With the canoe or pedal boat you can go straight into nature from your own jetty. There are also several boats for rent. The cottage is ideal for a romantic weekend, but also for families. The cottage is larger than you think, but still very cozy. It has lots of privacy, you can sit inside or outside by a fire and you can enjoy making your own breakfast (everything is provided). Moreover, you can enjoy year-round boating on the Reeuwijk lakes. And of course swimming from your own jetty! There are also several restaurants within walking or boating distance. For small children we have a life jacket. They can then take the pedal boat out on the water themselves, or wander around in the woods and in the Goudse Hout. The Reeuwijk lakes used to be "dry. As the peat was removed, water took its place. The area is characterized by water, woods and meadows. Because the nature house is situated at the lake and next to the Goudse Hout, there is a lot to notice at the nature house: various dragonflies, the great red-legged woodpecker, a kestrel, greenlings, a bittern, the kingfisher, pheasants, the white heron, sedge warblers, the grass snake and the weasel. You can also see rare flowers and plants like the Swan Flower and the Dotterbloem at the nature house. Rare fish have not yet been discovered. However, red chub, eel and pike have. There are various walking and cycling routes in the areas around Gouda, Reeuwijk, Haastrecht, Stolwijk and Hazerswoude. Sometimes you really imagine yourself in the middle of nowhere. You can also take a boat from the nature house for a round trip on various Reeuwijk lakes. The bridges you come across you can operate yourself. Or you can take the boat for a day to visit the city of Gouda. Stores are within biking distance. They are near station Gouda Goverwelle (free parking). The station is 15 minutes walk through beautiful nature reserve. By car or bike a little faster.
