This romantic nature house is a wonderful place to unwind. Wake up to the sound of birds and squirrels right outside your window. The cottage is completely private, situated on a large 1,350 m² plot of wooded land, surrounded by trees and rhododendrons.It has a beautiful, spacious feel and is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. Even in bad weather, you can enjoy your stay thanks to the excellent insulation and the cozy warmth of the wood stove. There is underfloor heating throughout the house. The covered porch, which opens onto the living room, is cozy, even in bad weather. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the bathroom features a bathtub and a walk-in shower. A washer and dryer are provided, and kitchen and bed linens are included. The cottage is entirely on one level, but wheelchair users may have difficulty navigating the turn leading to the bathroom and bedroom.

Of course, you can also head to Deventer for a more extensive cultural program; it’s just a 20-minute drive away. The Pieterpad is known among serious hikers as the longest hiking trail in the Netherlands. The Pieterpad takes you from Pieterburen in North Groningen to the Sint-Pietersberg in South Limburg. The hosts have already welcomed several Pieterpad hikers, as you can hike two stages starting from Holten. This nature house is therefore ideal as a delightful resting spot along this beautiful route.
