Nature house in Woudenberg

We had a wonderful midweek getaway. Such a charmingly decorated cottage with cozy seating areas everywhere—in the shade, in the sun. The owner has an eye for detail, which is evident throughout the cottage; it’s very cozy. Lots of great tips, including for the surrounding area; the owner stopped by regularly with treats like homemade cake or apple pie with whipped cream. We really enjoyed it. So there are sounds of the countryside, but we actually found peace and quiet here this week. No hustle and bustle, just relaxation, warmth, and hospitality. A very pleasant stay. And oh yes: comfortable beds, a wonderful shower, a lovely garden, and a fantastic porch!

We hebben het een midweek geweldig gehad. Zo'n lief ingericht huisje met zalige zitplekken overal. In de schaduw, in de zon. De eigenaar heeft oog voor detail, overal in het huisje aanwezig, heel knus. Veel goede tips, ook voor de omgeving, kwam regelmatig langs met lekkernijen als huisgemaakte cake of appeltaart met slagroom. We hebben er echt van genoten. Er zijn dus landschapsgeluiden, maar wij hebben juist verstilling gevonden hier deze week. Geen drukte, onthaasting, warmte, gastvrijheid. Een heel fijn verblijf. En oh ja: goede bedden, zalige douche, zalige tuin en fantastische veranda!

A cute, charming little cottage right in the heart of the Den Treek-Henschoten countryside. You’ll be part of the country estate, along with peacocks, roosters, geese, horses, and wonderful dogs. You’ll have your privacy, but the animals will happily come by to say hello.

Een schattig, lief huisje middenin landschap Den Treek-Henschoten. Je maakt onderdeel uit van de buitenplaats, pauwen, hanen, ganzen, paarden en geweldige honden. Je hebt je privacy, maar de beestjes bezoeken je graag nieuwsgierig.

It was wonderful to be able to just bike back to the cottage after our wedding, and it was a lovely place to unwind after all the excitement of the day. Our host, Jolanda, was also very friendly and even had a sweet little gift for us.

Het was heerlijk om na onze bruiloft gewoon op de fiets terug naar het huisje te kunnen, en het was een fijne plek om bij te komen van alle indrukken van de dag. De host Jolanda was ook erg vriendelijk en had zelfs een lief cadeautje voor ons.

A beautiful, cozy little house! We loved the porch, where we were able to read and chat late into the warm summer evenings while watching the sun set over the forest.

Because it was so warm, we had to sleep with the windows wide open, but that meant we were bothered by the noise from the road and the rooster.

Een prachtig knus huisje! We hebben genoten van de veranda, waar we op de warme zomeravonden tot laat hebben kunnen lezen en praten met het uitzicht van een ondergaande zon in het bos.

Doordat het zo warm was moesten we slapen met de ramen wijdopen, maar daardoor hebben we wel last gehad van het geluid van de weg en de haan.

Nice little house, great atmosphere. As far as we’re concerned, it could have been a bit cleaner. The balconies are wonderful! Keep in mind that the ceiling on the ground floor is low, which is something tall people should take into account. The animals and the garden are fantastic, and you can walk right into the woods from several different sides. The price is a bit on the high side. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend.

Mooi huisje, fijne sfeer. Kon wat ons betreft wat schoner. De balkons zijn heerlijk! Houdt er rekening mee dat de benedenverdieping laag is, voor lange mensen iets om rekening mee te houden. De dieren en tuin zijn fantastisch en je loopt zo aan verschillende kanten het bos in. Prijs is aan de hoge kant. Wij hebben genoten van een heerlijk weekend.

Beautiful hiking trails, lovely views. Lots of nature in the area; the Utrechtse Heuvelrug is gorgeous. There is a lot of noise from the Doornseweg, though. It’s closer than we thought it would be.

Mooie wandelroutes, fijn uitzicht. Veel natuur in de omgeving, de Utrechtse Heuvelrug is prachtig. Wel veel geluid van de Doornseweg. Ligt dichterbij dan we vooraf dachten.
