Nature house in Vila Franca da Serra

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful place. The road to it was described as an adventurous gravel path, and it did live up to that name.

Mooi huisje op een prachtige plek. De weg ernaar toe werd omschreven als een avontuurlijk grindpad, en die naam deed het wel eer aan.

Beautiful cottage with all the basic necessities. The view is beautiful and the owners are very friendly and always there for you. Ideal place to take a break from all the hustle and bustle.

Mooi huisje met alle basisbenodigdheden. Het uitzicht is schitterend en de eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk en staan altijd voor je klaar. Ideaal plekje om even bij te komen van alle drukte.

Our week in the nature house in early September was truly fantastic. The cottage is in a beautiful spot with a great view of Serra da Estrela. The peace and quiet there really did us good. We could completely relax and recharge, partly due to the fine pool and jacuzzi that were great to dive into every day. The owners are incredibly hospitable and sweet, we felt right at home. They also gave us many good tips for fun activities in the area, such as walks in the beautiful countryside. The cottage itself was fully equipped, just what you need for a comfortable stay. Although we made a lot of trips this time, next time we can imagine just staying at the quinta for the whole week. It is such a nice place that you can have a great time without going away. All in all, we had a great time and look forward to coming back again!

Onze week in het natuurhuisje begin september was werkelijk fantastisch. Het huisje ligt op een prachtige plek met een geweldig uitzicht over Serra da Estrela. De rust en stilte daar hebben ons echt goed gedaan. We konden helemaal ontspannen en opladen, mede door het fijne zwembad en de jacuzzi die heerlijk waren om elke dag even in te duiken.

De eigenaren zijn ontzettend gastvrij en lief, we voelden ons meteen thuis. Ze gaven ons ook veel goede tips voor leuke activiteiten in de omgeving, zoals wandelingen in de mooie natuur. Het huisje zelf was van alle gemakken voorzien, precies wat je nodig hebt voor een comfortabel verblijf.

Hoewel we deze keer veel uitstapjes maakten, kunnen we ons de volgende keer voorstellen dat we gewoon de hele week bij de quinta blijven. Het is zo’n fijne plek dat je je er prima kunt vermaken zonder weg te gaan. Alles bij elkaar hebben we een geweldige tijd gehad en we kijken ernaar uit om nog een keer terug te komen!

The peace and quiet and space of the nature house were great. You really feel like you are sitting there all alone, so quiet it is. The view of Serra da Estrela is wide and breathtaking. We saw many different birds, which made the stay even more special. A perfect place to completely unwind in the middle of nature and yet with all the comforts and amenities available.

De rust en ruimte van het natuurhuisje waren geweldig. Je hebt echt het gevoel dat je er helemaal alleen zit, zo stil is het. Het uitzicht over Serra da Estrela is wijds en adembenemend. We zagen veel verschillende vogels, wat het verblijf nog specialer maakte. Een perfecte plek om helemaal tot rust te komen midden in de natuur en toch met alle gemakken en voorzieningen aanwezig.

Simple, cozy cottage, nice beds, kitchen adequately equipped.

Eenvoudig, knus huisje, fijne bedden, keuken voldoende ingericht.

Rarely had so much space and silence around me, phenomenal views, the light different every moment of the day.

Zelden zo veel ruimte en stilte om me heen gehad, fenomenale uitzichten, het licht elk moment van de dag weer anders.
