Enjoy a glass of wine and a homemade stew from the cauldron by a crackling fire. In the evening, crawl into the box bed. Private bathroom facilities are within walking distance. Since it’s a bit like camping, be sure to pack warm clothes during the colder months. And because the hut is overgrown, you might occasionally spot a spider or a little mouse. If that’s not your thing, book one of our other cottages instead. For relaxation, you can book the hot tub and/or sauna for an additional fee. You’ll have these facilities to yourself for part of the day. You can also rent our Finnish grill cabin. These facilities can also be reserved by our other guests, so availability may vary.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the beautiful village of Roswinkel in Drenthe. Here, you can still experience the silence, watch farmers working in the fields, see the many pheasants, egrets, and swallows flitting about, and—if you’re lucky—encounter a roe deer. The village has only 805 residents and is located just a few kilometers from Germany and the province of Groningen. The stunning forests of Emmen, with their dolmens, as well as the beautiful natural landscapes of Ter Apel, Sellingen, and the Bargerveen, offer a unique and varied setting for cycling and hiking.
