A short distance from the Belgian border villages of Gemmenich, Sippenaeken and Teuven on a narrow and therefore quiet country road lies this nature house. It is a restored farmhouse built around 1850. Part of this half-timbered farmhouse is furnished as a vacation home for two to a maximum of nine people, who want to enjoy a (long) weekend of peace and quiet. One pet is welcome, provided it is house-trained. The cottage is not suitable for bachelor parties or student weekends, but is more of a home for cozy family gatherings. Keep in mind when booking in August that there will be a little more noise because of fairs, fairs, children's camps or other holiday parties. You are most welcome
Nature and surroundings
This nature house is an excellent base for visiting The Land of Herve, the Geul Valley, the foothills of the Eifel, the South Limburg Hill Country or the Flemish-speaking Voer region. From the house you can make several walks to, for example, the Hijgend Hert in the Vijlenerbos or to Auberge le Barbeaux in Sippenaeken. Well, on the (racing) bike or mountain bike is beautiful touring through the tri-border region, but spicy. If you are a little less trained, take the e-bike. The area around Gemmenich is still pure, not nearly as busy as in South Limburg, but with at least as beautiful views. In the house we have several hiking / cycling maps to explore the immediate vicinity. The official language is still French, but you can manage perfectly with Dutch or German. In Gemmenich itself is a good bakery and butcher, who are also open on Sunday morning. So you do not need to bring your groceries or drive to AH or Lidl in Vaals at 6 km.
