Nature house in Senise

This nature house is the ideal place for the ones seeking for tranquility and the noises of nature. Here you can enjoy a part of Italy´s unspoilt landscapes with its very hospitable people and delicious food. Right outside of Senise, lies the more than 200 years old property of Misossero. Masseria Misossero lies on a property of 10000 m² and is rented apart or together. The rural property has a special garden, a great swimming pool, more than 250 olive trees and a great diversity of fruit trees. Furthermore, the house has an outside workshop, a half-covered rooftop terrace on the upper floor and a big garden with large terraces and several romantic gazebos around the swimming pool. From the living room, all bedrooms can be accessed via a majestic staircase.

The nature house lies in Senise. Senise has a wonderful, typical Italian village centre (centro storico), which is surrounded by an ancient castle wall. The village lies in the province of Basilicata, in the hollow part of the famous boot-like shape of Italy. The Lucani, as the inhabitants of Basilicata call themselves, do not live from industry and tourism but rather from agriculture and livestock farming. Senise lies at the foot of the enormous national nature reserve Pollino in the Valley de Sinni. The park is located at the border with the region of Calabria but also between the Tyrrhenian and the Ionian Sea. The more than 2000 meters high mountain tops of the park are mostly covered in snow between October and the beginning of May. With its 192.565 hectares, the park is the biggest protected nature reserve in Italy. In Senise, you can enjoy a unique atmosphere, a unique nature, delicious local dishes and you can visit a variety of bathing places on the sandy and/or rocky coast. Furthermore, Senise is only a 1h30 drive away from Matera, the European city of culture of 2017. It is almost unnecessary to say but Matera is for sure worth a visit. You should also visit the ancient cities in the heart of the country and you will have a fantastic experience.
