Guests who stayed here find the surroundings fantastic for
Cycling Hiking

In this National Monument, the part (barn) was converted in 2015 into a luxurious, contemporary nature house. From the large glass frontage of the barn doors, you look past the sheepfold out onto the alpaca meadow, the orchard and the old monumental oaks. The cozy downstairs with its characteristic trusses contains a sitting area with flat screen, a three-meter-long dining table, a full kitchen with island and a wood stove. Following this is a spacious bedroom with 1.80 meter wide box spring, flat screen TV and spacious bathroom with bathtub, walk-in shower, bidet, toilet, and double sink. Upstairs a luxury bedroom with box spring, sitting area and flat screen TV and private bathroom. There is also a double bedroom with twin beds, and a bestee room with a sink. A separate toilet and a shower with sink are located in the hallway. There is ample parking at the farmhouse. Due to allergies, no pets.

Nature and surroundings

Oosterhesselen is surrounded by authentic Drenthe sand villages with their characteristic, thatched farmhouses. Located on the Drenthe cycling/hiking network ( No. 29) on the outskirts of the village, this nature house is an ideal base for hiking and cycling. In summer you can enjoy the swimming pool. In the village the restaurants and store are within walking distance. Ever wanted to feed and pet an alpaca? Ask Klaas and be surprised!

A really nice place. Beautiful, spacious layout. Absolutely fantastic—we were greeted with fresh flowers on the table and a surprise (I don't want to give too much away....)

A beautifully renovated farmhouse, fully equipped, and surrounded by a gorgeous garden. Cozy interior and plenty of every conceivable appliance, dishes, and so on. Add to that the very friendly and hospitable owners. In short, a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Drenthe.
