Nature house in Heijenrath

This nature house is located in a monumental square farm from 1720, situated in the beautiful Limburg hill country and at the time belonging to the noble monastery of Sinnich. The nature house consists of a kitchenette, living room, bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom is on the second floor and here you have a beautiful view over the fields from your bed. If you open the curtains, you might just come face to face with a fox or deer. On the mezzanine there may be room for one or two children. The living room is small but cozy and with a real fireplace. In the kitchen you will find everything you need to cook, such as an electric stove, of course there is also a coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom is romantically designed with a bathtub on legs. This cottage can also be booked for three or four people. For them you pay €15 per person per night extra. This nature house is beautifully situated in the Limburg Hill Country in one of the highest villages in the Netherlands with the villages of Slenaken, Epen and Mechelen within walking distance. At 20 car minutes you will find Maastricht, Aachen and Liege, all three worth a visit. On Sunday mornings it is great to browse around the antique market in Tongeren (Belgium). If you want to relax, the hosts recommend Thermae 2000 in Valkenburg or one of the many springs in Spa and Aachen, possibly followed by an exciting evening at the casino. But what the region is most famous for, of course, is the extensive hiking area where you walk through meadows and forests, wade through streams and encounter beautiful half-timbered farmhouses. The apartment is located directly on hiking trails. For cyclists: you'll find real "calf bites" here. You can safely put your road bike and mountain bikes inside at the rental place and also rinse them off, so you can put them back on the car clean. With nice weather it is wonderful touring the hilly country roads. In terms of culinary delights, South Limburg is the place to be. Whether you prefer a simple local dish or a starred restaurant, it's all possible. There are many restaurants nearby and in Maastricht you will find a true culinary Walhalla.
