Nature house in Heijenrath

This nature house is located in a monumental square farm from 1720 located in the beautiful Limburg hills and at the time belonging to the noble monastery of Sinnich. The nature house is a beautiful attractive and especially spacious apartment. It is entirely on the ground floor so also suitable for people who have difficulty walking. It has a spacious bathroom with bath and shower and for the chilly hours, there is a cozy wood stove. For the enthusiast there is a pick-up with old-fashioned vinyl from Lou Reed to the Volendam Opera Choir and everything in between. In the kitchenette you will find everything you need to cook such as a 4-burner stove, coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator and a combination microwave. There is a spacious entrance where you can store your bikes but also your motorcycle and there is an outside tap with hose so you can rinse your mountain bikes if necessary before putting them back on the car. With nice weather you can sit outside in your own garden overlooking the fields. Nature houses 26804 and 40440 are also located in this farmhouse.

This nature house is beautifully situated in the Limburg hills in one of the highest located villages in the Netherlands with the villages of Slenaken, Epen and Mechelen within walking distance. Just 20 car minutes away you will find Maastricht, Aachen and Liege, all three worth a visit. On Sunday mornings it is great to browse around the antique market in Tongeren (Belgium), one of the most famous antique markets in the region. If you want to relax, the hosts recommend Thermae 2000 in Valkenburg or one of the many springs in Spa and Aachen, possibly followed by an exciting evening at the casino. But what our region is most famous for, of course, is the extensive hiking area where you walk through meadows and forests, wade through streams and encounter beautiful half-timbered farmhouses. The apartment is located directly on these hiking trails. For the cyclists: you will find here real 'kuitenbijters', well known to most. You can safely put your road bike and mountain bikes inside at the rentals and also rinse them off so you can put them back on the car clean. When the weather is nice, you can tour the hilly country roads by car. On culinary matters you can go in every direction in South Limburg.
