Nature house in Bergen

The nature house is located almost in the forest, in the middle of nature park De Maasduinen. The ideal base for beautiful walks and bike rides. The house is detached with a private garden, accessible directly from the living room. Lovely to eat outside or just sit under the plane tree. The large living area has a semi-professional kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two single beds. There is wifi, but no TV. Note: bookings at least two days in advance. Dogs (max. 2) are welcome, except if left alone constantly barking.

From the nature house you can walk straight into the forest, which has a clear dune character. This is completely visible when you walk to the Duvelskuul (10 minutes), a beautiful little pond surrounded by dunes. In the fenced-in part there are large grazers and also Dutch goats. By bike you can make beautiful trips to the Quin in Afferden or the Eendenmeer and Driessenven in Bergen. A little further on is the Reindersmeer, where the visitor center of De Maasduinen is also located. A walk around the lake is a delight and fun is a crossing by hand-pulled ferry. A culinary day out can be had with the Happen en Trappen route. It is a beautiful tour through De Maasheggen on the other bank of the Meuse and De Maasduinen on this side. Also a visit to the Geijsteren estate should not be missed during a stay in this region, great for walking and cycling. Also worth visiting is the archaeological park in Xanten, where a Roman settlement has been excavated and parts of it rebuilt, complete with temple and arena.
