This charming nature house is located at the edge of forestry Ommen, near the Overijsselse Vecht. The cottage of about 40 m² has a garden with a terrace facing south and a terrace overlooking the Vecht on the north side. The cottage has a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet and shower. In the small but cozy living room with sliding doors you will find a sitting area with television (Digitenne), DVD player and a gas stove. Games, books and DVDs are widely available. The dining kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a gas stove, refrigerator (without freezer compartment), combination microwave, coffee maker and kettle. The first bedroom has a double bed (140x200), the second a queen-size bed (120x190). The cottage has no WiFi. This is possibly available through the neighboring campsite (the quality varies). This is a forest cottage. It is somewhat dated and simple, but also charming and complete.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located along with nine other cottages on the edge of a farm property, which also includes a small campsite. It has a beautiful view of the Vecht River. All kinds of birds fly to and fro, there is plenty of nesting in the birdhouses in the garden in the spring. From the cottage there are several beautiful walking and cycling routes through the Overijssel landscape. You can swim (eight kilometers away) in the beautiful swimming pond De Oldemeijer, but also in the Vecht (a short walk from the cottage), where there is also fishing. Several interesting places and amusement parks can be found within short driving distance. In high season you will hear noises from the family campground located across the dirt road. Here, by the way, you can find a brasserie, wellness, swimming pools (with the exception of school holidays/holidays also accessible to non-camping guests at a fee), mini golf course and supermarket.
