Wow! This is a special nature house! This wooden cottage was designed by the landlords themselves and is located next to two streams, which flow through the municipality of Leudal. The cottage has a living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. In the furnished living room there is a comfortable sitting area and a dining table. From the living room you have a view of the donkey and goat pasture. Adjacent you will find the kitchen, equipped with a gas stove, fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, coffee maker and a kettle. In the bedroom on the ground floor there is a double bed. In the bedroom on the first floor there is a double bed and a crib. The beds can be seamlessly connected and converted into single beds if desired. Outside is a lovely terrace with a parasol, deck chair and a barbecue. There is also a swimming pond you can use. When the bantams are laying, you can collect fresh bantam eggs. Furthermore, you can harvest herbs and vegetables from our vegetable garden. That means: food of the season. The landlords also have plums, apples, pears and nuts in the garden. You may also enjoy these if you book this cottage during harvest time. There are a number of (children's) bikes and a tandem in the barn that can be borrowed. There is also a highchair available. Do you book until Sunday? Then you are free to leave whenever it suits you!
Nature and surroundings
From the wooden nature house, several beautiful natural areas are within easy reach. For example, go to the Maas Valley or the Swalm-Nette. In the area you can also make wonderful walking and cycling trips through the Limburg countryside. The junction routes are all seamlessly connected to the Flemish and German neighbors. Should you wish to explore Limburg's nature from the water, there are also plenty of possibilities, both by canoe and by sailing or whisper boat.

Nature really starts right along the stream (especially toward the village). Further on is the Leudal, though we found the Meinweg nature reserve even more attractive, spacious, and peaceful. Surrounding the cottage is a garden (which is enormous compared to those at other nature houses) for the owners. We did experience some “farm noise,” though, because we visited during a sweltering heat wave and the mechanical cooling system in a barn a short distance away was running constantly at that time. We didn’t find the sounds of frogs, roosters, chickens, and birds disturbing. It was wonderful that there was no dog running around the yard; the two cats that were there weren’t a problem. But the mosquitoes in particular (despite the screen doors, they still managed to get in through the door) had us reaching for our earplugs at night. However, after Simon set up the nice mosquito net, they couldn’t bite us anymore. So, plenty of nature, peace, and space—with the minor caveat mentioned above.

Maar na het laten aanbrengen van de fijne klamboe door Simon konden die ons niet meer steken. Veel natuur, rust en ruimte dus, met bovenstaande kleine kanttekening.
