After staying at the Hooghuis last year, we decided to stay at the Braamhuis this time.
The owners were on vacation, and a very charming elderly couple took care of us.
Their advanced age may have been the reason the cottage wasn’t clean. It smelled musty, and we ended up cleaning the toilet ourselves because of the urine odor and feces splatters on the rim and the toilet seat.
There’s dirty carpet in the living room and bedrooms, and the double mattress really needs to be replaced because of the unpleasant odor.
Furthermore, everything—like the tables and countertop—was sticky to the touch. We also had to wash the dishes before using them.
It’s a shame, because this cozy cottage has a lot of potential.
Finally: the yard isn’t fenced in, which meant our dogs could have run into the neighbors’ dogs.
Incidentally, the Voorhuis is very close to the Braamhuis, which limits privacy.

Er ligt vies tapijt in de woonkamer en slaapkamers, het tweepersoonsmatras is echt aan vervanging toe vanwege de nare geur.
Verder plakte alles aan je handen zoals de tafels en aanrechtblad. Ook het servies moesten we eerst afwassen voor gebruik.
Jammer, want van het knusse huisje is best wel wat te maken.
Ten slotte: de tuin is niet afgerasterd waardoor een aanvaring tussen onze honden en die van de buren mogelijk was.
Overigens staat dat Voorhuis wel erg dicht tegen het Braamhuis aan, waardoor een beperkte privacy.
De omgeving is prachtig, maar het weekend hebben we niet vol gemaakt.Not clean.

Klein en ruim tegelijk...kleine huiskamer met snorrende houtkachel maakt het knus. Maar aparte woonkeuken en 2 slaapkamers met ruime hal maakt het ruim. Schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien.
