Nature house in Hagestein

A beautiful chalet with a very spacious covered area where you can relax. The kitchen and bathroom/toilet are nice, and everything is really clean. The beds are comfortable.

In addition to the beautiful chalet and the gorgeous garden, Henny, the hostess, makes you feel right at home. From the very first moment, you feel incredibly welcome; she truly wants you to feel at ease and make sure you have everything you need. She’s also always up for a friendly chat and takes a genuine interest in her guests.

Mooi chalet met hele ruime overkapping waar je ook heerlijk onder kunt zitten. Keukenblok en badkamer/wc zijn fijn en alles is echt schoon. Bedden liggen goed.

Behalve het mooie chalet en de prachtige tuin voel je je ook bijzonder thuis door Henny, de gastvrouw. Vanaf de eerste minuut voel je je enorm welkom, ze wil echt dat je je op je gemak voelt en dat het je aan niets ontbreekt. Ze is ook altijd in voor een gezellig praatje en heeft oprechte interesse in haar gasten.

A beautiful place, wonderfully peaceful and serene. The surroundings are very pretty, but you don’t really need them when you have the gorgeous, well-maintained garden where you can hear various birdsong and where frogs, rabbits, and hares regularly make an appearance. The trees on the property are very beautiful—especially the weeping willow—and offer plenty of lovely shaded spots. There’s also a small path lined with fruit trees. And the variety of flowers really completes the picture.

Een prachtige plek, heerlijk rustig en sereen. De omgeving is heel mooi, maar eigenlijk heb je die niet nodig met de schitterende en mooi onderhouden tuin waar je diverse vogelgeluiden hoort en waar ook kikkers, konijntjes en hazen zich regelmatig laten zien. De bomen op het terrein zijn heel mooi - speciaal de treurwilg - en bieden ook volop heerlijke schaduwplekken. Ook is er een laantje met fruitbomen. En de variëteit aan bloemen maakt het geheel af.

Everything was absolutely perfect—super clean, a comfortable bed, a good breakfast, a beautiful garden, and a warm welcome.

Alles was tip top in orde super schoon, heerlijk bed een goed ontbijt prachtige tuin en het gastvrije ontvangst.

It was a wonderful experience; Henny’s warm welcome and hospitality make you feel right at home. A clear explanation of how to use the hot tub and a delicious, varied, and hearty breakfast every day. Nice chats, a truly beautiful garden—so idyllic, with magnificent trees, lovely flowers, and a gorgeous pond with a fountain; the sound of the water splashing was delightful—and a beautiful chalet with a covered area where you can sit comfortably even when the weather isn’t so nice. We also enjoyed the plums that we could pick right off the trees—it doesn’t get any fresher than that.
Our verdict: a wonderful place—one we’ll definitely return to.

Het was een geweldige ervaring een warm welkom en het gastvrije ontvangst van Henny maakt dat je je gelijk thuis voelt. Een duidelijke uitleg over het gebruik van de Hottub en elke dag een heerlijk afwisselend uitgebreid ontbijt . Leuke gesprekjes een echt super mooie tuin zo ydillisch en met echt magistrale bomen mooie bloemen een super vijver met fontein heerlijk dat geklater in het water en een prachtig chalet met overkapping waar je ook bij minder mooi weer heerlijk kunt zitten. Daarnaast genoten van de pruimen die we zo van de bomen konden plukken verser kan het toch niet .

It was a wonderful place, and Henny is a cheerful, attentive, and definitely funny hostess. Just one message and she’s right there for you. After the heat wave, we had a few slightly cooler days, so it felt a bit chilly in the log cabin and on the porch.
The hot tub was wonderful!!!
One minor criticism:
I found the breakfast to be very basic (but maybe I’m just too city-oriented). A nice, crispy roll or croissant fresh from the oven instead of rolls and a slice of bread would have made it more enjoyable. The homemade plum juice did give me that feeling of “I’m out in nature, away from it all.”
The hostess herself makes up for everything.
Tip: create a few more spots in the wonderful garden where you can sit or lie down and soak up the sun. There are some benches, but they’re hard and not really suitable for sitting on for long.

Het was een heerlijke plek en Henny is een vrolijke, geïnteresseerde en ook zeker grappige gastvrouw. 1 berichtje en ze staat klaar. Na de hittegolf troffen wij net iets koudere dagen, daardoor voelde het wat koud in de blokhut en op de veranda.
De hottub was heerlijk!!!
Enige kritische puntje:
Ik vond het ontbijt wel erg basic (maar misschien ben ik te stads). Lekker knapperig broodje of croissantje uit de oven ipv kadetjes en een boterham, had het gezelliger gemaakt. De zelfgemaakte pruimensap gaf wel het gevoel van “ik ben lekker in de natuur, even weg van alles”).
De gastvrouw zelf maakt alles goed.
Tip: maak nog wat plekjes in de geweldige tuin waar je relaxt kunt zitten/liggen en de zon kunt opzoeken. Er staan wel wat bankjes, maar hard en niet om lang te zitten.
