Nature house in Zuidwolde

Bordering a moorland in the hamlet of the Pieperij is this cozy nature house. In the yard is a viewing cabin. The nature house is shaped like a rustic hay barn. From the windows you look into the nature reserve. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. The living room has a comfortable seating area. TV can be watched on your own laptop. There is no TV set. There is also a sofa bed for two extra beds. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, fridge and freezer, combination microwave, coffee maker and kettle. On the second floor are two bedrooms with two beds each, which together form a large bed. There is also an extra toilet. From the upper floor you have a beautiful view over the nature reserve, where Scottish Highlanders graze. The cottage has a spacious garden and a large terrace. From the terrace you look out over the heathland. We have a charging station for electric cars.

The nature house is located directly in the nature reserve Takkenhoogte of The Drentse Landschap Foundation. It is quiet, the nights are dark and the stars are bright. The neighbors are deer and Scottish Highlanders. Tranquility is guaranteed. In a grove at the edge of the property is a bird-watching cabin. This hut places you in the middle of the nature reserve. If you are not being stared at by the Scottish highlanders, you are being peered at from the bare tops of the thickets by the robin sparrows. Ravens talk in the distance and in spring the golden oriole yodels here. Most of the time it is very quiet and you imagine yourself alone, along with the birds, in this beautiful part of the Netherlands. A weekend or a week, it flies by here in the middle of nature, I can heartily recommend it!''. From the cottage there are several walking and cycling tours through the nature reserve. In this area flows the Reest, a winding stream, which forms the border between Overijssel and Drenthe.
