Nature house in Den Oever

A cozy little cottage with comfortable beds and curtains in the bedrooms.
Since it’s located on the Scouting grounds, the kids also had plenty of space to play.

Een fijn huisje met prima bedden en gordijnen in de slaapkamers.
Doordat het op het terrein vd scouting staat hadden de kinderen ook een hoop speelruimte.

All you have to do is walk across the dike to see the mudflats. The dynamic tides and the many birds are beautiful!

Je hoeft de dijk maar over te lopen om het wad te zien. De dynamiek van het getij en de vele vogels zijn prachtig!

Wonderful silence, and very nice that it is rented out from the scouts which allows the contribution for everyone to stay low. I hope that enough volunteers stay for this great initiative. Probably it would be a good idea for more scouts to rent out a nature house on their property. They often already have a nice location.

Heerlijke stilte, en erg leuk dat het vanuit de scouting verhuurd wordt waardoor de contributie voor iedereen laag kan blijven. Ik hoop dat er voldoende vrijwilligers blijven voor dit geweldige initiatief.
Waarschijnlijk is het voor meer scouting een goed idee om een natuurhuisje te verhuren op hun terrein. Zij hebben vaak al een mooie locatie.

Wonderfully relaxed. Every evening we admired the sunset and searched for shells on the mud flats. Enough space for 6 people and for the children a lovely playing field in front of the cottage, but also a nice play / nature park next to the cottage. No TV in the cottage, which we found a bit of a shame at first, but we did not really miss it. We watched the song contest on the phone:) In terms of nature in the area we found it very beautiful. One day we went to Medemblik, visited the castle, Den Helder to the Marine museum and the visitor center on the dam. And the last day a look at the beach in Julianadorp, ending with a delicious ice cream!

Heerlijk tot rust gekomen. Elke avond de zonsondergang bewonderd en schelpje op het wad gezocht.
Voldoende ruimte voor 6 personen en voor de kinderen een heerlijk speelveld voor het huisje, maar ook een leuk speel/natuur parkje naast het huisje.
Geen TV in het huisje, dat vonden we eerst een beetje jammer, maar hebben het eigenlijk ook niet gemist. Het songfestival hebben we even op de telefoon gekeken:)
Qua natuur in de omgeving vonden we het ook erg mooi. Een dagje naar Medemblik, het Kasteel bezocht, Den Helder naar het Marine museum en het bezoekerscentrum op de afsluitdijk. En de laatste dag nog een kijkje op het strand in Julianadorp met als afsluiter een heerlijk ijsje!
