Nature house in Vimeiro, Alcobaça

In a hilly region, about 100 kilometers north of Lisbon, just outside the village of Acipreste in the district of Leira, lies this beautiful nature house. The Quinta is located about ten kilometers from the Atlantic coast of the Costa da Prata. This region, located between the towns of Alcobaça, known for its Mosteiro, the largest church in Portugal, and the spa town of Caldas da Rainha, is very suitable for hiking. There are numerous marked walks, but participation in guided tours is also highly recommended. In the former wine store of the quinta a beautiful vacation apartment has been created, suitable for two to four people. In the garden, the owners have built an outdoor kitchen. Here there is a large barbecue, a stone table and garden chairs. Of course, this can be used by arrangement. There is a well-stocked bookcase, separating the sitting room area from a sleeping area. There is also a wood stove, which of course you won't need in summer. There are French doors giving access to a spacious cozy porch. A heating fee is charged during the winter period.

Come and enjoy the beautiful landscapes, natural beauty, sea beaches, forests, historic cities and friendly and hospitable people. It is a fertile, hilly region, which is very suitable for hiking. An increasing number of hikes are set out by local people, but guided hikes are also available from the same people. The guides know a lot about the history of Portugal in general, but also about the facts of the region and the places you walk through. Salir do Porto, San Martinho do Porto and picturesque Nazaré are popular seaside resorts nearby. A little further away are the worthwhile cities of Tomar with the monastery complex of the Knights Templar, Batalha with the imposing abbey of Santa Maria, and the famous pilgrimage site of Fátima. Bicycles can be rented.
