Summer on the cross road! Wake up by the chickens and the owl, then enjoy peace and quiet in beautiful Drenthe. You stay in a romantically converted sheepfold, a beautiful place and part of a protected villagescape, hidden under rustling oak trees at the beginning of a dirt road. The only sound you hear at night is the screech of the barn owl. The living room of the nature house has a sitting area, dining table and kitchen. There is a bathroom with sink, walk-in shower and sauna. A bedroom (upstairs) with a spacious double box spring very cozy under the beams. There are two terraces, one overlooking a meadow, one under the thatched roof. The nature house is completely private, you have your own entrance. During your stay you can also enjoy the spacious Finnish sauna that is available. Your dog is also more than welcome! However, the costs for the sauna, final cleaning, pet and tourist tax are not included.
Nature and surroundings
The cozy nature house is located in one of the quietest and darkest places in the Netherlands. At the cottage is a private parking and there are so many walking and cycling opportunities that you can leave the car! Some examples of walks from the Dwarsweg: Rheebruggen, the Uffelter Binnenveld and the Holtingerveld. Also several junction routes start from the Dwarsweg. Within driving, but also biking distance, is the National Park Dwingelderveld, the Drents Friese Wold and the Weerribben-Wieden. With me you can also choose various options: a bicycle tour with picnic basket, a walking tour with packed lunch, a day dish/dinner to end your day. Please inquire after your booking for prices! Want to play golf? Four kilometers away, on the outskirts of Havelte, is a beautiful 18-hole golf course. Again, a transfer can be arranged. And would you like to visit Giethoorn? Through a beautiful route you are there in 20 minutes! And finally: I'm also a walking guide, will you walk with me?
